Since 1980, we have been providing Asheville and the surrounding area with a full range of local, sustainably produced produce, meats, eggs, cheeses, breads, plants, prepared foods and crafts. Day vendors complement the members’ offerings with additional products and services.
The North Asheville Tailgate Market is a weekly, Saturday morning gathering of the best farmers, craftsmen, and bakers. With over 60 vendors and more than 40,000 annual customers, the market’s energetic and warm environment welcomes all.
MARKET LOT CHANGE ANNOUNCEMENT
Beginning NOVEMBER 11TH, our market will be temporarily relocating to UNC Asheville Lot P34 as UNC Asheville will need use of our lot for some time for construction. We are unsure exactly how long but we will keep you updated! We will be back to P28 at some point in 2024.
Lot P34 is just NORTH of our current lot towards Merrimon Ave right next to Covenant Reformed Presbyterian Church and has been used for overflow market parking, so maybe you have been there before – check out the map below. Accessible parking will be available in P34 and our portajohns will be moved there as well. Additionally, we will have signs posted around campus to help you find your way!

Our Mission
As a producer-only farmers’ market, our mission is to strengthen the local foods movement of Western North Carolina by organizing a dynamic and inclusive outlet for farmers and small businesses to connect with customers and community.

Our vendors have a direct hand in producing all the goods they sell. Through their passions and integrity, they yield foods and crafts of the highest quality.
Healthy bodies and minds establish a strong community. Chef demos, dietitian talks, and our Growing Minds at Market are just a few ways we contribute to creating a healthier community.
Most of our growers use organic practices and the Market strives to give you organic choices for all products. Choosing organic is better for you and the environment.

We are proud to have over 40 members, many of which have been with NATM since the early days of the 1980’s. These salt of the earth folks make a living by following their passions for farming, baking and making unique craft items. Over the years, we have cultivated a strong family-like community who is dedicated to bringing you the finest local goods.
In addition to our 40 + Market members, we also have many day vendors who bring an enriched variety and value to NATM. Our scheduled lineup of vendors is ever evolving, so you’re always sure to find new and exciting offerings with every visit to our market.
