With the change of seasons and the unique microclimate found in WNC, each week you’ll find a different harvest to celebrate. From the simple pleasure of the spring’s sun ripened strawberries to the hearty dishes made from winter squash, culinary inspiration is always discovered at our market. Here’s a look at what you’ll find that is subject to change seasonally. Signing up for our newsletter will give you an idea of what you will find weekly.

Fruits and Vegetables:

radishes, spinach, beets, Swiss chard, kale, bok choy, kohlrabi, cabbage, arugula, pea shoots, mustard greens, field greens, leeks, green onions, asparagus, mushrooms, assorted herbs, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, summer squash, zucchini, potatoes, fennel, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, peaches, apples

Meats and Poultry:

beef: roasts, brisket, ground beef, short ribs, steaks, stew beef, sliced beef liver, pastured chicken: whole and parts, poussin, duck, turkey, pork: chops, ribs, bacon, sausage. We even have, lamb, rabbit, trout and salmon

Plants:

orchids, blueberry and raspberry bushes, heirloom vegetable and herb starts, carnivorous plants, irises, lilies, woodland natives, perennials, annuals, succulents, Japanese maples, lemon cedar, and everbearing strawberries

Other Farm Products:

eggs (from free range chickens and quail), numerous cheeses, raw milk, local honey, jams, stone ground grits and cornmeal, dried apple slices, walnuts and pecans

Baked Goods:

cookies, brownies, tarts, sticky buns, muffins, scones, pastries, cakes, vegan breads and crackers, granola, fresh pasta (even gluten free), rolls, loaf breads (French, Italian, white, rye, sourdough, whole wheat, spelt, baguette, semolina, ciabatta, heirloom grit and more). We even have treats for our K9 companions!

Other Products:

hot apple cider, fresh roasted coffee, hot coffee, pasta, chocolate, ice cream sandwiches, hot sauces, jams made from local fruit, vinegars, handmade pottery, bird houses, rugs, bee’s wax candles, jewelry, wooden spoons, knitted/sewn items, yarn, herbal soaps, lotions and balms

We also have the fabulous Cecilia’s Culinary Tour food truck featuring the most delectable tamales, empanadas and breakfast crepes filled with local goodies!

Music at the Market
