The land of Hickory Nut Gap Farm is jointly owned by the six children of James and Elspeth Clarke. Each year we raise about 60 steers and 500 pigs here on our farm. Hickory Nut Gap animals consume only their mothers milk and forages during their entire life while rotationally grazing on pasture. Our mission is to connect sustainable agriculture practices, our family history, and our customers by sharing the family farm experience and serving as an example of healthy land stewardship.
